Before & After School Care

This program is for children 4 to 12 years of age. Transportation is provided to schools that are within the set boundaries. Call the Supervisor to see if your child’s school is on our list. In addition to before and after school care, we also provide full day programs for P.A. days, March break and the summer. Please see our summer camp section for more details.

Schedule & Program:

The programs support life skill development. There is an emphasis on team sports, group activities/projects, time management (ie. homework completion), conflict resolution and enhancing individual interests (ie. hobbies). Our schedules are flexible and foster the children’s areas of interest. A monthly calendar is sent home with each child focusing on special events (ie. pajama day), trips (ie. rock climbing), guests (ie. anti-bullying workshop) and opportunities for parental involvement (ie. share your culture). A copy of the daily routine is also available upon request.

Daily Communication:

Daily communication with the teachers is very important. Challenging school assignments, conflicts with peers, etc., can affect how a child is feeling. If you are too hurried in the morning or afternoon to speak to your child’s teacher, feel free to call during the day to share information or to ask questions.

Meals and Snacks:

Our before and after school children have a variety of places to enjoy their afternoon snack: the lunchroom, in their classrooms or outdoors at our picnic area. On P.A. days and during summer camp, children bring their own peanut/nut free lunch. For more information about our dietary staff and menus, please refer to our nutrition section.
