The philosophy of AURORA CHILDREN’S CENTRE is to provide a nurturing, fun, and educational learning environment that meets the needs of your child and complies with the Child Care and Early Years Act. A child is always entitled to opportunities to develop emotionally, creatively, socially, physically, and intellectually in a ‘play-based’ environment which fosters cooperation, respect, and a sense of responsibility and order. Aurora Children’s Centre intends to meet the unique needs of the child within the context of the whole group.
We see children as competent individuals, capable of complex thinking, curious and rich in potential, and we will value and build on their strengths and abilities. We will encourage the children to interact and communicate in a positive way and support their ability to self-regulate. We see families as experts who know their children better than anyone and have important information to share with us. We will foster the engagement and ongoing communication with parents about the program and their children. The Centre shall supplement and compliment parental/guardian care and values while seeking to provide a loving environment – home away from home – in a non-profit childcare centre.

Where Does Learning Happen?
Learning happens both indoors and outdoors. Our facilities are clean, modern, and embrace a positive learning environment.
Health & Nutrition
In addition to healthy snack options, we offer fitness classes such as Zumba and Yoga. Beyond the physical benefits, children have the opportunity to work as a team.
The Arts
Music, foreign languages and Sign Language. We offer a wonderful music program providing an interactive experience. Learning languages stimulates curiosity and taps into the developing brain.
Large, Open Outdoor Spaces
Promoting healthy, active lifestyles, Aurora Children’s Centre is surrounded by beautiful green space. These spaces offer many opportunities for adventure and a better understanding of our environment.
